Reardan, Davenport shine at 1B/2B state cross country

PASCO - Reardan freshman Simon Sobotta powered through Sun Willows Golf Course Saturday, placing 59th in 18:34.50 at the WIAA Class 2B boys cross country state championship.

The 2025 state meet unfolded under clear skies on the rolling layout, where early-morning frost gave way to crisp sun and swirling winds off the Columbia River. Sobotta held steady through the first mile in a crowded pack, then opened space on the back nine, passing fading rivals in the final 800 meters.
