Construction of the Union Oil station started in Odessa. The forms have all been laid and the concrete will be poured soon. The project is expected to last about four weeks.

Trucks that have been hauling apples from Hunters to the rail depot in Davenport for the past two months have finished the job. More than 300 truckloads and about 90,000 boxes of apples were shipped.

Proprietor C. H. Kildea of the Lincoln Hotel in Davenport was fined $10 and court cost for violating the eight hour labor law.
