Free access days slated for 2026

OLYMPIA — In accordance with state law, several state agencies will offer 12 days next year that a Discover Pass is not required for entry onto public-owned lands managed by state agencies.

Those dates were announced last week, and include:

January — New Year’s Day (Thursday, Jan. 1) and Martin Luther King Jr. Day (Monday, Jan. 19)

March — Monday, March 9, and Thursday, March 19

April — Earth Day (Wednesday, April 22)

June — Free fishing weekend (Saturday and Sunday, June 6 and 7) and Friday, June 19.

August — Sunday, Aug. 9.

September — Saturday, Sept. 26

October — Saturday, Oct. 10
