Odessa eliminated from playoffs

SOUTH BEND — Naselle rolled past Odessa 64-8 in a Washington Class 1B state football loser-out playoff game Saturday, ending the Tigers’ season.

The No. 5-seeded Comets (9-1) scored early and often against the No. 12-seeded Tigers (record not immediately available), advancing to face Almira Coulee Hartline in the quarterfinals Nov. 22 at Lions Field in Moses Lake.

Odessa, the Southeast 1B champion, finished its year with the first-round exit.

Naselle led 44-0 at halftime before Odessa scored its lone touchdown in the second half.
