REARDAN - The Screaming Eagles girls basketball team opened its home schedule with a pair of hard-fought games, narrowly losing to Liberty 50-45 on Friday, Dec. 5, before rebounding with a focused 56-47 victory over Brewster on Tuesday, Dec. 9.
In its opener, Reardan shot 29% from the field and committed 17 turnovers in its loss to Liberty. The Lancers opened the game with a 12-3 run. In the second quarter, junior Marrin Landreth sparked the Screaming Eagles with consecutive baskets to tie the game at 17-17.
