ODESSA - The Almira-Coulee-Hartline Warriors overwhelmed the Odessa Tigers with relentless defensive pressure from the opening tip, cruising to a 78-22 boys varsity basketball win on Dec. 12.
The Warriors jumped to a 29-0 lead after the first quarter and extended it to 51-6 at halftime. Odessa showed more fight in the second half but could not close the gap, as AHC maintained control through the final whistle with scores of 65-15 after three quarters and 78-22 at the end.
Odessa coach Deric Schmierer praised his team's resilience despite the tough matchup.
