Snowfall during the week here totaled 6 ½ inches. During the week .25 inches of rain fell. The rainfall melted the snow rapidly, and there is only a little on the ground now. The present month has been the warmest December in 38 years, according to pioneer residents. The lowest temperature recorded here during the month was 25 above zero.

Santa comes to Davenport Friday, riding in the REA Weasel. First stop will be the Christmas tree adjacent the city hall at 6:30 p.m., when candy treats will be presented to the youngsters.
