Soap Lake soars past Odessa

ODESSA - A strong second-half surge propelled the Soap Lake Eagles to a 50-39 victory over the host Odessa Tigers in a nonleague girls high school basketball game Monday night.

The Eagles overcame an early deficit to take control after halftime. Soap Lake trailed 17-12 after the first quarter and 24-17 at halftime but outscored Odessa 13-12 in the third period and 13-15 in the fourth to secure the win. The final score by quarters: Odessa 12-17-12-15-39; Soap Lake 14-10-13-13-50.
