Purple out games to honor Colfax's Reece Jenkin

REARDAN — Reece Jenkin, a Reardan native who coaches boys basketball at Colfax High School and has frequently matched up against Lind-Ritzville teams in the past, has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.

Teams across Washington are rallying to support him, including Lind-Ritzville/Sprague.

The Colfax Bulldogs are scheduled to play at Ritzville on Jan. 6, and the Broncos will host Freeman on Jan. 10 in a game dedicated to honoring Jenkin.

Both contests will be “Purple Out” events, with participants encouraged to wear purple in support of the Colfax coach.
