Wrestling for Lind-Ritzville/Sprague, Autumn Cresse of Sprague settles back to score nearfall points on Annika Winona of Pomeroy during the Dec. 29 Christmas Tournament.
POMEROY - A Sprague girl brought home a gold medal from the Christmas Tournament on Monday, Dec. 29.
Autumn Cresse, wrestling for Lind-Ritzville/Sprague, captured the title at the 110-115-pound weight class after pinning four opponents.
Cresse opened the tournament by pinning Bronco teammate Emiliy Nolan in 3:38.
She then pinned Annika Winona of Pomeroy in 1:44, Abigail Lampert of Tekoa-Rosalia in 48 seconds and Izabella Cervantes of River View in 22 seconds to win gold.
Cresse won the only title for the Bronco girls, leading her team to a third-place finish behind Potlatch and Wilbur-Creston....
