Defense requests additional time

DAVENPORT - A felony trial involving allegations of sexual exploitation of a minor has been pushed back just weeks before it was set to begin, after the defense requested additional time to conduct interviews.
James Boss, 57, appeared for a readiness hearing during a Tuesday, Jan. 13, Superior Court hearing, where the defense asked to delay the trial, citing the need for additional interviews. The deputy prosecuting attorney, Bruce Cox, did not object. Superior Court Judge Adam Walser noted the case had not previously been continued and granted the request.
