DAVENPORT - The Davenport Gorillas girls basketball team dominated from the opening tip, building a commanding lead by halftime and cruising to a lopsided victory over the Medical Lake Cardinals on Saturday, Jan. 17, in Davenport.
The Gorillas outscored the Cardinals 19-11 in the first quarter and extended the margin with a 11-3 run in the second for a 30-14 halftime advantage. Davenport then exploded for 23 points in the third quarter while holding Medical Lake to three, before closing out the game with a 16-2 fourth-quarter edge.
Davenport finished with a 69-19 victory.
