Alleged altered records spur investigation

SPRAGUE - An investigation is underway in Sprague following concerns that city council documents, including a budget-related ordinance, may have been altered, prompting the resignation of the city's clerk-treasurer.

The inquiry began after a recent city council meeting where questions were raised about the authenticity of certain official records, according to the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office.
