Davenport sophomore Nova Petersen got off to a strong start against Kettle Falls junior Kincaid Freer before Freer secured a fall victory at 175 pounds in 2:57 during a dual meet in Davenport on Wednesday.
DAVENPORT - The Davenport/Liberty Launch Academy Gorillas celebrated senior night with an upset, rallying to defeat a favored visiting team by 12 points in a high school wrestling dual in Davenport on Wednesday, Jan. 28.
The Gorillas topped the Kettle Falls Bulldogs 48-36 in a matchup that showcased multiple quick pins and strong home performances.
Davenport coach Jesse Hoff credited his wrestlers for rising to the occasion against an opponent with recent momentum.
