DAVENPORT - Fierce pins and technical falls echoed through the gym as wrestlers clashed in a pivotal league event, setting the stage for upcoming state qualifiers amid displays of grit and strategy.
The NE 2B League Duals unfolded Saturday in Davenport, drawing teams from across northeast Washington. Host Davenport split its performances, topping Colfax 36-24 in the opening dual before falling 6-41 to Freeman in the second.
Reardan, meanwhile, dominated Colfax 30-6 in contested bouts but struggled with forfeits, and edged Asotin 18-11 in key matches.
