SPOKANE – Fresh off a 24-point performance in Davenport's opening-round win over Mabton, Glenna Soliday came out firing again Wednesday night, scoring 25 points to power the Gorillas to a convincing 52–34 victory over Mount Vernon Christian in the second round of the 2B Girls State Basketball Tournament at the Spokane Arena.
The Hurricanes briefly looked ready to challenge Davenport, racing out to a 7–1 lead. That momentum didn't last long.
