Suspect skips court in vulnerable adult theft case

ODESSA — A man failed to appear Tuesday for arraignment in Lincoln County Superior Court on charges of first-degree identity theft and theft from a vulnerable adult in the first degree, according to court records.

Jose Chacon of Santa Ana, Calif., faces the identity theft charge for allegedly knowingly obtaining, possessing, using or transferring a means of identification or financial information of another person with the intent to commit a crime from approximately Dec. 1 to Dec. 29, 2025, in Lincoln County, according to court documents.
