Odessa wins opener, but drops closer
ODESSA - The Odessa Tigers split a doubleheader with Wilbur-Creston-Keller on Tuesday, winning the opener 18-5 before dropping the nightcap 18-1.
In Game 1 the Tigers were dominant on both sides of the ball. Leo Martinez led Odessa at the plate, going 2-for-2. Miller Stout stole two bases as the Tigers ran wild on the basepaths, swiping five stolen bases as a team. Odessa was flawless in the field, committing no errors. Travis Shearer had the most defensive chances with three.
WCK collected 18 hits in the loss. Nelson and Cause were a force together in the lineup, each collecting four hits. Br...
