Children break loose and scramble across Davenport City Park on Saturday, April 4, during the annual Easter egg hunt. The Davenport Lions Club hosted the event, which included Easter breakfast at the Memorial Hall.
DAVENPORT - Children broke loose and scrambled across the grass at Davenport City Park last Saturday morning, laughing and darting in every direction to gather brightly colored Easter eggs during the annual Lions Club hunt.
"This was a great turnout this year, and we're appreciative of the nice weather," Lion Rob Morcom said. Lion Nick Goetz led the egg hunt that began at 9 a.m. Club members served scrambled eggs, pancakes, coffee, orange juice and milk at Memorial Hall from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.
