Resident blasts council over junk vehicles

DAVENPORT - A frustrated resident told city officials Wednesday, April 8, that the town is "going to hell in a handbasket" because of junk cars, derelict motor homes and debris littering properties along highways leading into town.

Stan Reider, who has complained about the issue for about two years, addressed the City Council during public comments at the council's April 8 meeting.

He described multiple problem sites visible to visitors and residents.
