SPOKANE – An Almira/Coulee-Hartline wrestler won three freestyle matches at the Women's National Championships on Saturday, April 11, at Spokane Veterans Memorial Arena.
Wrestling in the U17 division at 61 kg, Karis Butler opened the tournament with a 6-5 decision over Karris Carter of Betterman Elite Wrestling of Colorado.
In her second match, she lost by technical fall (10-0) in 38 seconds to eventual national champion Landri VonGonten of Boneyard Wrestling of Texas.
