CHEWELAH – The Reardan girls softball team didn’t just weather the storm on Thursday, April 14, they brought it, crushing the Jenkins Cougars 28–11 in a rainy, windy game shortened by the mercy rule.
The Screaming Eagles jumped out to an early lead by scoring seven runs in the first inning, highlighted by a triple from Nortz. Reardan added seven more runs in the second and six in the third to build a commanding 20–5 advantage.
They closed out the game by outscoring the Cougars 8–6 over the final two innings.
