REARDAN - In a doubleheader shortened by darkness, the Screaming Eagles' softball team ignited for a 15-8 win and a 17-17 tie against Jenkins (Chewelah) on Friday, April 17.
Chewelah wasted no time in the opener, jumping out to an early lead that put Reardan on its heels. The Screaming Eagles refused to fold. Led by freshman Kayden Felix, Reardan's offense found its rhythm just when it mattered most.
Felix was a force at the plate, going 2-for-2 with a walk and racking up six RBIs. Her highlight of the day came in the fourth inning, where she laced a bases-clearing double to shift the momentum...
