DAVENPORT - The Gorilla girls made their final home track appearance one to remember.
Seniors Josie Wynecoop and Glenna Soliday, sophomore Charlotte Soliday, and eighth-grader Addy O'Connell teamed up to shatter a 25-year-old school record while winning the 4x400 relay at Tuesday's six-team league meet.
The quartet raced to victory in 4:18.50 seconds.
The Gorillas capped the race in dominant fashion, finishing 26 seconds ahead of runner-up Northwest Christian (Colbert).
Their time currently ranks as the fastest 4x400 relay performance at the 2B level in the state this season.
