Odessa coaches leave mid-season

ODESSA - The Odessa High School Tigers baseball coach and his assistant have stepped down.

Head Coach Joe Schlomer and Assistant Coach Travis Powers made the announcement earlier this week, citing a desire to spend more time with family.

Cam Smith is expected to serve as interim head baseball coach for the remainder of the season.

Athletic Director Larry Moffet was unavailable for comment before deadline.
