David Ernest Mandere was born July 7, 1942 to Jules and Claudia (Goff) Mandere in San Francisco, Cali. Two years later David's little sister, Karen joined the family. David passed away peacefully surrounded by his five loving children, holding his wife's hand on the evening of April 23, 2026 following a short illness.

David attended High School at San Rafael High where he met the love of his life Patricia McCurdy, he graduated in 1960. They were married January 10, 1965.
