DAVENPORT - Northwest Christian delivered a commanding doubleheader sweep over host Davenport on senior night Saturday at the sports complex, winning the opener 12-0 and the nightcap 21-0.
The Crusaders rolled behind strong pitching and a relentless offense while the Gorillas managed just two hits total across both games. Northwest Christian collected 31 hits and committed only one error in the twin bill.
It was an emotional afternoon for Davenport's seniors, who played their final home games of the season.
