Pleasant View to honor veterans

MONDOVI – Veterans buried in Pleasant View Cemetery will be honored with memorial flags.

After five years of research, cemetery board members have completed a list of 38 veterans whose final resting place is here, spokeswoman Johannna Ellis said.

Veterans buried at Pleasant View include five Union civil war, three World War I, 19 World War II, six Korean, five Vietnam and one Gulf War, Ellis said, noting some served in multiple conflicts.

Most of the military branches are represented, as well, she said. The only service missing is the Marines.
