Locals shine at NE2B League Championships

NEWPORT — Davenport’s girls track team dominated the relays and hurdles while the Gorillas and Reardan posted multiple top finishes across both genders at the Northeast 2B League Championships on Tuesday at Newport High School.

Overall, the Gorilla gals won the girls division amassing 104.5 team points.

The Reardan girls tied for sixth as a team with Lind-Ritzville/Sprague, which includes athletes from Sprague and Harrigton. Each team had 55 points.

Relay teams

The Davenport girls won the 4x200 relay in 1:50.24 with Paige Van Buren, Charlotte Soliday, Addy O’Connell and Glenna Soliday.
