West Plains Cannons look to contend, again

MEDICAL LAKE - If by nothing else but a glance on his current roster, West Plains Cannons Coach Austin Sharp suggests a bounce back season for his AAA American Legion team is in order.

Last year the Cannons, who finished third in the state in 2024, missed the tournament for the first time in the last five seasons, finishing 14-24 on the season.

"Since we started in 2018, every year we returned probably 50&-60% of our roster," Sharp said.

The team has traditionally had players from Airway Heights, Davenport, Reardan, Medical Lake and other communities.
