YAKIMA – Three area girls fastpitch softball teams competed last weekend, May 21-23, in the state 1B and 2B tournaments at the Gateway Sports Complex in Yakima.
Wilbur-Creston and Almira/Coulee-Hartline were amid the 1B ranks, while Lake Roosevelt was in 2B.
All three went 2-1 and returned without a trophy.
Lake Roosevelt lost it's opening game to eventual state runner-up. The Raiders then eliminated Colfax before themselves being eliminated by Kittitas.
Wilbur-Creston entered the 1B tournament as the No. 5 seed.
