Davenport area farmers very happily received 1/5 of an inch of rain the other day. It appears the dry spell has broken but more moisture is needed to insure good crops.

The national parks of America officially open for summer next week. Nearly 2 million people re expected to visit national parks this season.

The Odessa tire shop owned by Joe Schaefer was leased to Birges brothers Dave and George. With the equipment on hand they are ready to serve customers.
