SPRAGUE - After more than two years of work, Sprague Tavern has opened its doors.
Diane Gomes, 58, of Sprague, and Candy Day, 38, of Sprague, who previously worked together at the local store, partnered with their husbands to bring the business to life at 211 W. First St.
. "We live in Sprague and there is only one restaurant, a gas station and the store," Gomes said. "I wanted to have a place that the locals could come in, have coffee, get some great food, a drink or two and just relax and chat with each other.
"Just a small town 'watering hole,' if you will."
