Dirt bike collides with SUV

DAVENPORT — A dirt bike rider was injured in a low-speed collision with an SUV on a private driveway Tuesday evening, June 30.

According to the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office, Sara Wilkie reported she was driving her Cherokee at 10 mph around a blind corner on her 36425 N. Hart Road property when she collided with her tenant, Curtis Kangas, who was riding a dirt bike in the opposite direction.

Kangas complained of pain in both wrists and ankles but was able to walk, the Sheriff's Office reported. Wilkie drove Kangas to Lincoln Hospital.

Both parties said they would handle the matter privately...
