Highway safety upgrades advance

REARDAN - The town is moving forward with plans to improve pedestrian safety along U.S. Highway 2, with a focus on the area near the school campus where speeding and visibility have long been concerns.

At the July 2 council meeting, engineer Bryan Hicks with Century West Engineering presented a conceptual design for Phase 1 of corridor improvements between Aspen and Cedar streets.
