State to fund $1.8 million project
REARDAN – The Reardan-Edwall School District is set to receive $1.8 million to upgrade the running track.
The new rubberized track will be funded entirely by the state, with no direct cost to local taxpayers, officials said.
District officials announced that the funding was secured through the state capital budget during the most recent legislative session. Washington state Republican Reps. Mary Dye of Pomeroy and Mike Volz of Spokane sponsored the request for the financing.
Volz represents the 6th Legislative District and Dye represents the 9th District.
