Caterpillar reported stolen

DAVENPORT — An old D4 Caterpillar was reported stolen from private property near Boyk Road North and Bluestem Road East, according to Lincoln County sheriff’s office records.

Michael D. Piper called July 29 to report that someone had hooked a chain to the radiator of the machine and pulled it away from Kenny Swiger’s property. The theft is believed to have occurred in the previous week and a half to two weeks. There was an uptick in traffic in the area, and no suspects were identified, the report states....
