Near-miss reported in Sprague

SPRAGUE — A mother reported her young son was nearly struck by a vehicle that peeled out of a nearby property Friday afternoon, Aug. 7.

Heather Gay Krauter called deputies about 3:48 p.m. and said a black Chevrolet pickup left the property at 605 W. Alder St. at a high rate of speed, startling her son, who then crashed his bike and hit his head, a Lincoln County Sheriff's Office report said.
