ODESSA — Poor air quality from wildfire smoke prompted the town to close its swimming pool for several days.
The pool was reopened, but closed again when lifeguards reported difficulty working in the smoke.
Clerk-treasurer Jamie Nelson said they the town will continue to evaluate air quality each day and may offer shortened afternoon or evening hours if conditions improve enough to operate safely.
The final scheduled day of operation is Sunday, Aug. 16....
