DAVENPORT — A man reported fearing blackmail after sending compromising videos and pictures of himself through a messaging app Sunday evening, according to Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office records.
Richard Clark McCollam, of 604 Sinclair St., called deputies about 6:42 p.m. Aug. 9 and said he had a Telegram account and was afraid he was being blackmailed, the report stated.
Deputy Chris Stein spoke with McCollam by phone and advised him not to send any money or gift cards and to delete the app, according to sheriff’s office records.
Stein further advised McCollam to be cautious about who he communicates with online, the report stated..
