Government shouldn't hinder fire victims

Unfortunately, the wildfire situation in Eastern Washington has gone from bad to worse in the past week.

Last Saturday, the Old Trails Fire ignited and burned more than 900 structures in northwest Spokane. A few days ago, law enforcement arrested a former convict who is suspected of starting that wildfire.

It is one of three wildfires in Spokane County that have burned a combined total of over 10,000 acres.

With so many people suddenly left homeless by recent wildfires in Washington, it’s important to help them rebuild.
