Public health director hired

DAVENPORT - Lincoln County has named a longtime resident and former prevention specialist as its new public health director, citing her rural experience, leadership background and deep community ties.

Danita Hammond, 47, of Davenport, previously worked nearly a decade as a prevention specialist for Lincoln County Public Health, returned to the department after serving on the county Board of Health and building a career in business and leadership roles across the Pacific Northwest.
