Football season begins

DAVENPORT - The 2026 high school football season got underway Wednesday, Aug. 19, with the first day of practice.

Davenport, Odessa and Reardan teams began training without pads.

Reardan is the first eastern Lincoln County team to face others. On Aug. 29, the Screaming Eagles will travel to the Freeman Jamboree at 11 a.m.

The Screaming Eagles open Northeast 2B league play at Asotin at 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 4, then come home at 7 a.m. Friday, Sept. 11, to host Kettle Falls.

In 8-man football, Davenport opens at 7 p.m. Sept. 4 at Inchelium, then travels to Manson for a 6 p.m. game Thursday, Sept....
