McMillan rides in Suicide Race

MARLIN – A local cowboy was among the field in this year’s running of the World-Famous Suicide Race in Omak.

Caleb McMillan, 28, qualified on his horse, Ol Yeller, and ran in the Thursday night, Aug. 13, performance, but didn’t place. He was not listed among the cowboys and tribal riders competing in the remaining performances of the four-day event.

McMillan is one of the few non-tribal riders to compete in recent years.

When contacted earlier this week about the race, McMillan politely declined to comment.
