Chamber inactive since 2022

DAVENPORT - Local business owners are moving to revive the dormant Chamber of Commerce.
An information meeting on the effort took place Thursday, Aug. 20, at Pioneer Plaza. Another meeting is set for Sept. 3 at Tribune Provisions, 502 Morgan St.
Business owner Dawn Shaver said former chamber secretary, Dick Wandling, did not want the chamber to dissolve, so he set a deadline to see if there was interest in keeping it.
"I was really surprised we had that big of a turnout," she said.
