Schafer seeks culture first

ODESSA - Building a culture that lasts beyond the scoreboard is the top priority for Odessa’s new head football coach as he prepares a young and undersized Tigers roster for the season ahead.

Kolby Schafer, 52, a lifelong Odessa resident who farms 5,000 acres and is raising two children ages 12 and 10, said his commitment to the community and passion for the game drew him to the job.
