Groemmel offered airport manager job

DAVENPORT — The part-time airport manager job has been offered to a former city administrator, the City Council was told Wednesday, Aug. 26.

Mayor Brad Sweet said he and City Administrator David Leath interviewed two applicants and offered the position to Steve Groemmel.

“We had two good quality applicants,” Sweet said. “We interviewed both of them, myself and Dave, and we did offer the job to Steve Groemmel for the part-time airport manager.”

The job is at-will, Sweet said.

Whether to keep the position will come up in the budget.
