Hospital posts July budget numbers

ODESSA — Odessa Memorial Healthcare Center added $588,074 to its net position in July and received a $1,356,427 Medicare cost-report settlement Aug. 12, administrators told the hospital district board Thursday, Aug. 27.

July net patient revenue was $1.57 million, $567,762 above budget. Operating income was $465,966. The board had budgeted an operating loss of $113,888 for the month.

“The current month is a positive 29.2%” operating margin, Tre Peterson of Wipfli told commissioners, correcting a slide that showed the figure in parentheses.
