DAVENPORT — City officials are moving through the calendar that leads to next year’s budget, even though a preliminary spending plan has not gone to the council.
City Administrator David Leath said the administrator prepares that draft and the council has not begun its part of the process. Capital requests were due in August.
A preliminary estimate was due to his office Sept. 11, he said. The mayor is scheduled to meet department heads Friday, Sept. 25.
Adopted city budgets have grown and shrunk with capital projects over the past five years. Budget totals show:
