DAVENPORT — Commissioners approved paying a $2,160 annual maintenance bill for jail cell sensors from the county opioid settlement fund.
Sheriff Gabe Gants said the sensors were installed in 2024 in two cells used for inmates in detox or substance-use treatment. The original project cost $12,300 and was approved July 1, 2024. He said the county has received $160,542.49 in settlement money that was not in the original budget and that the fund balance is about $316,302.39.
